How does BaseGX work? 

AIF will be delivering the “BaseGX Theory” and Training Partners will be delivering their in-house studio training as the “BaseGX” practical.

 

When a student completes BaseGX theory, designed to be around 40 hours, then completes the Training Partner in-house studio training as well as a First Aid course, they will graduate and be certified as a BaseGX Instructor for the chosen program and Training company.

 

AIF has also exclusively secured a bespoke Insurance Policy specifically for BaseGX graduates, so they can purchase insurance to cover them to teach approved Training Partner programs and classes. 

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course, students must be endorsed by a Training Company (a.k.a Training Partner) who have had their In-house practical training program approved by AIF.

 

Course Fees

BaseGX Theory Fees are $500.

You may be required to also purchase your chosen Training Company In-house practical training Program with a fee specified by them.

 

Course Duration

BaseGX online theory is approx. 40 hours for completion, delivered via AIF's IGNITE Learning Platform. Each In-House training Partner will have varied training requirements, and they will advise on their practical training duration.

FAQs

How do I become a BaseGX Certified Instructor?

Once you have been endorsed by an approved BaseGX training program studio/company, you will need to enrol online for your BaseGX theory module and also enrol in the training studio/company in-house practical training module. You can enrol anytime to complete your online BaseGX theory module.

Are there any assessments I need to complete?

Yes, you will be required to complete short online quizzes comprising of multiple choice and true/false responses for the BaseGX theory module that relate to all the great information you have access to. This is delivered by AIF's IGNITE Learning Platform. You will also have practical technique and delivery assessments with your Practical module and may also be required to complete a short written assessment as well. These will be explained by your training company.

What can I teach with my BaseGX certification?

You are certified to deliver ONLY the In-House Training program you have completed with your training company and have been certified to deliver with your AIF BaseGX certificate.

Can I teach any other group classes?

You are only certified and insured to deliver the In-House Training program you have completed and been certified for with your AIF BaseGX certificate.

Can I train small groups or 1on1 training sessions?

You are only certified to deliver the In-House Training program you have completed with your training studio/company. If you would like to train small groups or 1on1 personal training sessions, you will require a qualification in CIII Group Exercise, GEL or CIV Personal Training.

How do I get Insurance?

AIF has also exclusively secured a bespoke Insurance Policy specifically for BaseGX graduates with AJ Gallagher's Insurance. Once you have activated your 12 month complimentary AIF Network Membership included in your BaseGX course, you can purchase your BaseGX Insurance.
